Mother of boy shot in Balls Alley urges turnover of illegal firearms

The mother of the boy who was shot and died two days shy of his fifth birthday encouraged Bahamians to turn in illegal weapons yesterday, adding that she does not want another family to suffer the heartache that she is experiencing.

In an effort to assist the grieving family of four-year-old Denzel Demeritte, who was killed in a shooting accident in his family’s home on Saturday, Island Luck Cares Foundation has donated $6,500 to cover the cost of his funeral.
